Report on Romania-China trade from January to October 2021

According to Romanian statistics, from January to October 2021, Romania-China trade volume reached US$6.72 billion, a year-on-year increase of 26.11%. China is Romania’s sixth largest trading partner and the largest outside the EU. Romania imported US$5.93 billion from China, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%. China is Romania’s third largest source of imports (the top two are Germany and Italy in order). Romania mainly imports mechanical and electrical products, nuclear reactors and boilers, optical equipment, furniture and bedding. Romania’s exports to China were US$780 million, a year-on-year increase of 31%, and China was Romania’s 20th export destination. The main export commodities are wood products, nuclear reactors and boilers, mechanical and electrical products, optical equipment and so on.

According to Chinese statistics, from January to October 2021, the trade volume between China and Romania was US$8.45 billion, a year-on-year increase of 36.8%. Romania is China’s 64th trading partner. Among them, China’s exports to Romania were US$5.49 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.12%. Romania was the 53rd export destination country in China. The main export commodities were mechanical and electrical products, nuclear reactors and boilers, optical equipment, vehicles and parts, furniture and bedding, etc.; Imports were 2.97 billion US dollars, an increase of 42.1% year-on-year. Luo was the 62nd source of imports in China, mainly importing mechanical and electrical products and audio equipment, vehicles and parts, nuclear reactors, boilers, and optical equipment.
